Nope., July 22, 2017

Verified Purchase(What’s this?)

This review is from: Timetec Hynix IC Apple 16GB Kit (2x8GB) DDR3L PC3L-14900 1866MHz for iMac 17,1 w/Retina 5K display (27-inch Late 2015) A1419 (EMC 2834) MK462LL/A, MK472LL/A, MK482LL/A (16GB Kit (2x8GB)) (Personal Computers)

I ordered this memory even though there were poor reviews. That was a Mistake.-I ordered it as “new,” but the package had been opened and no attempt was made to repackage it.-One of the sticks didn’t work. That makes me think someone else bought it and returned it because of defect. Then it was sold right back to me without testing. It should not have been sold as new.I read one review that mentioned that the purchaser just had to get each of the sticks in the right slot, or something like that. I’m certain that the person who wrote the review put a good stick in slot one and a bad stick in another slot. Their system runs, but the bad stick isn’t doing anything.Make sure you try each stick individually in the first slot to make sure that your system will boot. Otherwise, you may have paid for memory that is uselessly in your computer.Another review I read said “…buy cheap buy twice.” That was true for me.

Bad Ram, Don’t Waste Your Time., August 24, 2017

I normally don’t like leaving bad reviews unless it’s a really bad product or necessary. This is the first time I had such a bad experience with ram cards out of all the builds and upgrades I have done. I tried helping out a friend to increase his iMac’s ram because he does a lot of video editing. You know how most rams are, just plug and play but this one wasn’t.First off the ram cards came in a mishandled way, the packing was terrible and the case holding them was broken. I’m going to post some pictures of this. I have gotten ram cards that have been in envelopes packaging but these were mistreated along the way to my house.Secondly after plugging it in, the computer wouldn’t turn on and the ram got extremely hot. Of course the first thing I did was try it again and see if placing it in a different slot might help (of course it doesn’t but you never know). Tried them separately on the computer and nothing again, just head and no image on the screen.I do highly recommend you stay away from this brand of ram, even if it costs less than other brands. Go for the ones you know and/or at least heard of. This was a waste of time and effort, can’t wait for my refund.

This review is from: Timetec Hynix IC Apple 32GB Kit (4x8GB) DDR3L PC3L-14900 1866MHz for iMac 17,1 w/Retina 5K display (27-inch Late 2015) A1419 (EMC 2834) MK462LL/A, MK472LL/A, MK482LL/A (32GB Kit (4x8GB)) (Personal Computers)

I installed it in my Dell Precision M6700. It works like a charm. At first I wasn’t sure, but, I asked Timetec in their website and also here in amazon and they confirmed it was compatible. I also went to Crucial website to check what was the max and fastest memory my system will allow, then I compared those specs with Timetecs… all the same.
